there might be hope for yet

my nonprofit hosted a book reading event last week, at which we had best-selling authors read, and this morning my coworker passed this message onto me, about the program i’d designed for the event, from one of the authors:

…it was really done beautifully, and I loved the way the quotes were used. All the more now, I’d really like to get a dozen or two dozen of them, if you have extras, to mail out to some of my … contacts.

there might be hope for me yet. it’s [pick one: a) amazing what you can do when you have to; b) quite a challenge to] create 150 programs for an event when all you have is 24# legal-sized paper and a breaking-down color printer. i keep trying to find resources online about the possibilities involved when using a laser printer, but haven’t found one yet. i might have to create it by myself. with more experience, that might lie in future plans.
