i am a designer based in portland, or. my most recent full-time job was mostly print design (marketing collateral), with web geek stuff on the side (and most of my history being web design and coding). there’s also, of course, the prerequisite adolescence and years of being a tortured, closeted artist, it never occurring to me to ask for money for the art i produced. wtf? =)

i tend to research the heck out of the internet tubes obsessively on a wide number of topics, and this site is where all that research of mine (mostly in the form of random asides, hence the name of the site) comes to rest.
